Isaiah

The other evening, after we went to the retirement center to sign the papers, we went to see Isaiah. It’s only 7/10 of a mile from our new driveway to their driveway. That will be very nice!

Ron had on his leg so we “walked” him into the house. Isaiah was in his room playing because Amy was still working. So, we were very quiet until she was finished and then she called him to come see who was there.

He went flying past me without so much as a nod – straight to his “Crampa” and climbed onto his lap. “Crampa! It’s so good to see you. I missed you! How did you get here?”

Duh… me… your other grandparent… the driver…

You know, the chopped liver.

(Seriously, I'm so glad that he has such a great relationship with Ron. The memories of his time with his "Crampa" will go with him all through his life. I know he loves me as much as he loves Ron. They just have a special bond and that is awesome.)

That is sweet. Sometimes I feel that way too when my grandboys run to their grandpa, but I am thrilled that they have a great relationship. I bet Ron loves seeing Isaiah light up like that. It's a wonderful thing.

Kids know when someone is sick or "off" a bit. They tend to lean towards them I think. It's awesome he loves him so much! He loves you but in another kind of way.

He loves you every bit as much, Teresa, and I'm sure you know that really!!! It must be wonderful for Ron to see little Isaiah run up to him like that, and I agree with Barb, that they do tend to pick up if someone is sick, or who may need special loving. Hope you have a lovely weekend my friend.

Grandmas are there for special hugs and kisses and fixing scrape knees.
Grandpas are good for other "boy" stuff

Sweet. Most of our grandchildren prefer my company to Grampa's. I am more apt to play games and such, but Gavin has always preferred to be with Papa. He chooses to call him a different name than his cousins and they have a special bond. I only cook and sew ......... I could never compete with dump trucks and tractors!

Oh T...that really is so sweet and had to make Ron feel like a king! I know you understand...

When we come to see the grand sons, they give me a hug and then jump on my husband because he wrestles with them...and I don't.

It's a little boy thing...
