Brenda's Photo Challenge Blog is having a God Bless America challenge. I don't have a lot of pictures that would fit this category, but I do have one of my very favorite photos of my daughter when her ship was returning from deployment. You've all seen it before, but now I am sharing it with the photo challenge.
It was September 14, 2001. It was a very emotional moment for all on board.

This is a wonderful shot! Love it!
I may have said it last time you posted this picture but my Dad told me during WWII, there was nothing better than coming home and seeing the Statue of Liberty to let you know you were fighting for freedom and your country. This picture reminds me of what he said. Thank you.
Beautiful...God bless your daughter for serving our country.
It is a great photo and have to say I have a great about of pride for those who serve their countries.......
I can't imagine how they felt coming into the harbor and not seeing the towers so few days after - it must have been the most emotional time for them.
God Bless them all.
This photo says it all. Great contribution for this challenge!
Wonderful photo of your daughter on her ship when they were returning to America. You must be so proud of her, Teresa, and rightly so. Hope you and Ron have a good 4th July my friend.
It gives me chills! And huge thanks to your daughter for her service!
Thanks for sharing. This definitely depicts the theme - God Bless America.
How beautiful!! The "goosebumps" kind of beautiful!
