I admit that is a strange name for a blog. I came up with it one time when I was feeling especially frazzled and challenged. Originally, the blog had some other totally
During one of my especially challenging episodes with Ron I was thinking about how people say they're burning the candle at both ends when they stay up late and get up early. I heard someone complaining about how tired she was because she'd been out partying the weekend away and then had to get up early to come to work on Monday. I quipped back, "I'm not only burning the candle at both ends, I'm burning it in the middle, too!"
When you're part of the "sandwich generation" - kids at home, a job, and elderly parents - then you're in that stage of life where you're responsible for so much and you're right in the middle of it all. So, even though I didn't have kids at home (except Isaiah, but I had his mom here, too) and I wasn't caring for an elderly parent - but I was caring for Ron - I decided that "I" was a perfect example of someone trying to function in the middle.

I get it!! But, I ponder, too!
I have always liked it because Middle has no side, but it makes so much sense. To me anyway. Then again....hee
I think its a neat name...explains itself really! ")
I Love your title - it's perfect. No matter what side you are on, it probably feels just as intimidating... I always look back and wonder who I did it all, but I keep saying that so this middle side is rather long dontcha think??
Ah! I thought it meant being middle-aged! Now you cleared it up! Thanks!
It's the perfect name for your blog. I love it.
It's the perfect name.
You are a strong woman and doing a great job handling all you have to deal with! I admire you for that.
Thank you for your comment and being so supportive when I had my pity party...
I gotta tell you, if you burn the candle at both ends, AND in the middle- there will be nothing left! So make sure to take some time out for YOU K?
Take Care :)
