Epley Maneuver

I "got" to stay home today and burn one of my precious vacation days. I felt fine but had to spend the day in the recliner with my head at either straight up or reclined at no more than 45 degree angle. I have a stiff neck now. I have to sleep in the recliner at 45 degree angle tonight. I will have a stiffer neck in the morning.

I am not looking forward to it.

I had an "epley maneuver" this morning at the ear doctor's office and the requirements (for this to be successful) is to pretend you have a book on the top of your head and not extend it or look down. It has been a very difficult day.

I blew my nose - standing straight up - and got dizzy. That is not a good sign. Maybe tomorrow will be dizzy-free.

I had to come home because the audiologist said it would be best if I didn't have to type for the next 8-10 hours.

It was soooo difficult to not go unpack boxes!!! I want to finish so I can get these boxes out of this place and can use the 2nd bedroom. I'm making it into my office and scrapbook room - and have dubbed it the "play room."

I am making a desk out of cubes. Once I have the cubes put together, I'll get a plywood top for it and have a great working space for my computer, printer, and card making stuff. Woo-hoo!

I'll post pictures as soon as I can get the place organized.

Like you I get frustrated when I can't do what I want to do!!! I have felt so fatigued with this blood pressure thing. I am finally getting my mojo back, but get a reminder when I do too much. I have sewed many a dress in my mind, though! Hope you feel like yourself again soon.

Teresa, I sure hope they can diagnose the problem and get it taken care of. I get motion sickness so easily so I do know how crappy you must feel. I wish there was something I could do for you. Hang in there sweetie. Better days are ahead I think.

Listen T...you sit in that recliner with the 45 degree angle, close your eyes and dream of how awesome your "play room" will look when you are finished decorating it in your mind...that will keep you creatively preoccupied. When you are better everything will fall into place because you took the time to plan it all in your brain... (((hugs)))

I agree with Donna - you must be careful at the moment, but it is very frustrating, especially when you are surrounded by boxes! I do hope you will feel better very soon. That cube desk sounds a great idea by the way!

Well I hope you are feeling better now I do not think I would like sleeping in an armchair I like my bed. It sucks when you are stuck unable to do stuff and you keep thinking of all the things you could be doing but you know you can't.

Good luck sticking with it. Hard to hold off of things you want to do--and feel okay with it.

Eply maneuver? What the heck is that? Something to do with that hair remover gadget? Oh, wait, that was the EpiLADY wasn't it? Well, whatever the heck you had done, it doesn't sound fun. Hope you are on the mend soon.
