Shut out!

LOL - none of us (Amy, Keith, or I) won a door prize last night. Bummer dudes and dudettes! But, we had a blast anyway.

I rode in the go-karts. I had a blast even though I played it safe and let the "boys" lap me more than once on the track. I was going as fast as this old lady wanted to go. The wind was in my hair, I was driving along the lap, and just enjoying being a "kid" again. I did have to have Keith help me out of the car. My balance was a bit off from going round in circles on the track but it was fun.

I played a game of bowling. I beat Keith (Rex and Amy didn't bowl). Only by 3 pins but I still beat him. That was also after falling down (lost my balance on the slippery floor) - but I didn't go sliding down the lane. That would have been UGLY! LOL - Keith and Rex asked me if I was OK. I managed to get myself up off the floor, so that was good. I didn't have to have a crane come out there and get me up off the floor!
I left there about 10:15 last night to head home. Rex took my car home with them so he can replace my water pump this weekend. Thank goodness he drove it; he checked the coolant level before heading out and said I had NONE. We just had the coolant put in on Tuesday so it leaked out over the course of three days. So glad that he is taking care of that maintenance item for me this weekend.

We have Isaiah this weekend. Trade-off... Ron kept him last night while we went to the party and I said I'd keep him and take him home tomorrow. We're going to go see Hop tomorrow before we head home. One more week and our trip to take Isaiah "home" will be 1/2 mile instead of 45 miles. We're glad to keep him and it makes it easier for Rex to be able to work on the car. I think we have the better end of the deal!

I have tons to do today - errands to run, "garage sale" items to pick up from the scrapbook store (they have a semi-annual garage sale where you can bring unused items and sell them; then you get store credit). I think I sold most of the things that I had taken - some papers, albums, embellishments, etc. I have one item that they sell that I want so I hope (and I think) that I sold enough odds and ends to buy it outright. We shall see.

I also have to go to a little cosignment shop here in town to drop off some clothing. I've taken a few things down and told her that I had some more items and she asked me to bring them on down. We're having a garage sale in a couple of weeks but people want to give you $1 for something that is easily worth $20 (even as a resale item). So, I'd rather take them to consignment and pay her a small fee to get me a better price.

I do have another post I want to do this weekend so I might get that done tomorrow. You all have a great weekend!

Fun packed post there Teresa. I can just imagine you on the Go Karts!! Drats and double drats that you didn't win the grand prize :( Won't it be wonderful when you are living so close to Isaiah? Yep, I think you got the good end of the deal there!! I usually beat my son-in-law at Bowling, which is a miracle really.Yay!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I was sure you were going to win but from the sounds of it you won anyway by having a great night out. Good for you for getting in that Go Kart and going. And now you get to enjoy the little one. Sounds like a winner to me

How much fun - I want to go go-carting with you too. :D heehee

Glad the car is getting fixed. YAY

And for the record - the little neighbor kiddies gave me a strange look yesterday when they saw Ronny in my kitchen.

Hey - what's wrong with a little snow spirit in April I say - and he's cute anyway. That he & Ron do have in common.

Go Karts that is something I have not done in a bloody long time, lucky you. Rats you didn't win a door prize but at least you had fun. I have only been bowlin twice and both times I won........

I can't imagine having to drive more the 10 or 15 minutes to visit any of my family we all live that close to each other and we love it that way.

That sounds like a great time. I am with you on not wanting to drive too fast in a go cart...or a car even!
