Day 09: Something you're proud of in the past few days

Taking pride in myself or the things I do is a very hard thing for me to do. I can’t say that I’ve not had pride in things, but it’s not very often.

LOL – does that make me totally boring or just a very unremarkable person?

I could be proud that I haven’t lost my cool at anyone, even though they may have deserved something more than they got.

Or… I didn’t eat ALL of the left over M&Ms

…I went to the grocery store

...I cleaned the toilet without complaining (too much)

...I gave Ron a haircut right when he asked instead of putting it off until later

...I made a really nice covered journal for someone at work for her birthday

(I'm working on another one for her that she's buying for her daughter's fiance'. It is 'faux leather' - technique I learned to do - and is turning out quite nice. Here is a preliminary picture of it - although it's not finished.)

I like it. I made a faux leather cornice board out of brown grocery bags once. I was quite pleased with myself when I finished and got plenty of compliments on it. Most folks thought it was real and I couldn't resist telling them how I did it.

Love the journals!

No, that just makes you modest :)
You have a lot to be proud of. I don't 'know' you well, but I know enough to see you are a remarkable woman.
You have a lot to deal with, you take good care of your husband, you go to work, you run around to the stores, keep the house clean, you keep your sanity... you should be proud of all of that. Heck, you should be proud of getting out of bed! lol :)
But in all seriousness, you have a lot to be proud of! :)

that is a cool looking journal!! I'm sure your friend will like it so very much!! I think you did a lot of good things lately (believe you me, staying away from the M&Ms is a good thing indeed!)

that is a very pretty gift! I'm not crafty at all, so when other people are, I'm always impressed!
